Every beginner needs to know the basics.

So, You have chosen a Magician or deciding on choosing one? I recommend the ways of a Mage. Once you have created your character (DO NOT worry about your stats at this moment), you will be starting on maple island.. Level and do your quests up untill level 8 (press S to increase your stats, str n dex are recommended to level faster)

Level 8 already? lol get to south perry and get off the island.. NO LATER THEN LEVEL 8!! Then head to ellinia and get your job as a mage.. Once you do, you're stats will roll back and str and dex will be brought back to 4. From there your luk should always remain at your level plus 3. (ex. level 24, your luk should be 27), every other stat into int.

Heres how your luk should be at random level's:

lvl-8: 11

lvl-10: 13

lvl-15: 18

lvl-20: 23

lvl-25: 18

lvl-30: 33

lvl-35: 38

lvl-40: 43

(So on and so forth)

Here are the skill builds for a magician..

Lvl 8- 1 SP into MP Recovery
Lvl 9- 3 SP into MP Recovery
Lvl 10- 1 SP into MP Recovery, 2 SP into MP Increase
Lvl 11- 3 SP into MP Increase
Lvl 12- 3 SP into MP Increase
Lvl 13- 2 SP into MP Increase (Maxed), 1 SP into MP Recovery
Lvl 14- 3 SP into MP Recovery
Lvl 15- 3 SP into MP Recovery
Lvl 16- 3 SP into MP Recovery
Lvl 17- 1 SP into MP Recovery (Maxed), 1 SP into Energy Bolt, 1 SP into Magic Claw
Lvl 18- 3 SP into Magic Claw
Lvl 19- 3 SP into Magic Claw
Lvl 20- 3 SP into Magic Claw
Lvl 21- Save SP (Due to Magic Claw doubles mp after lvl 10)
Lvl 22- Save SP
Lvl 23- 9 SP into Magic Claw
Lvl 24- 1 SP into Magic Claw (Maxed), 2 SP into Magic Guard
Lvl 25- 3 SP into Magic Guard
Lvl 26- 3 SP into Magic Guard
Lvl 27- 3 SP into Magic Guard
Lvl 28- 3 SP into Magic Guard
Lvl 29- 3 SP into Magic Guard
Lvl 30- 3 SP into Magic Guard (Maxed)

The following skill build is recommended from the Magician's start. This is the most commonly used build.

1 Energy Bolt (1)
5 Improved MP Recovery (5)
10 Improved Max MP Increase (MAX)
11 Improved MP Recovery (MAX)
20 Magic Claw (MAX)
20 Magic Guard (MAX)

With this build, Magic Claw can be maxed before finishing Improving MP Recovery (but after Max MP Increase), if you can afford the potion cost. Although higher level Magic Claw is better for faster training.
